  Currently, I think it makes sense to first wait a bit how D7949 <https://phabricator.kde.org/D7949> and D7962 <https://phabricator.kde.org/D7962> proceed, in particular since some code between D7962 <https://phabricator.kde.org/D7962> and this diff could be shared (and working on both in parallel will make it necessary to fix merge conflicts...).
