            Bug ID: 335082
Summary: autoreload keeps switching navigation panel to
                    "contents" mode
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: okular
           Version: 0.19.0
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: okular-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: darko.veberic at ijs.si

okular is a great tool for pdflatex. nevertheless, in ubuntu 14.04, okular
keeps switching the navigation panel from my usual setting "thumbnails" to
"content" each time pdf file is rebuild. okular should keep this setting when
the pdf file is re-displayed.

furthermore, okular should remember which mode the user set the navigation
panel even across restarts since imho "thumbnails" mode makes for a better
default setting than "contents" (but this choice should be left to the users,
like many other settings like "continuous", "page fit etc).

but in general, thanks for this great viewer!!! your work is appreciated!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a pdf file
2. switch the navigation panel to "thumbnails"
3. touch the pdf file
4. observe how the auto-reload switches the navigation panel back to "contents"
Actual Results:
auto-reload switches the navigation panel back to "contents"

Expected Results:
the navigation panel should keep the last mode set by the user.

furthermore, the setting of the navigation panel should be kept across the
sessions, ie closing the okular and reopening it (even on a different file)
should preserve the last navigation panel, especially since the "contents" mode
is not such a good default setting.
