GIMP, Inkscape, and pdf2svg all use Poppler as well.  If the flaw was in 
Poppler, these applications would suffer the same bug, yet they do not.  
Only Okular does.

Nevertheless, I'll see if I can force an update to the latest version of 
Poppler and report back on whether or not that resolved the Okular issue.
