I forgot to mention that MY(!) problem occurs with all my PDF files. in no
connection with the photo existence.
Actually, I use big (1-2MiB) HW manuals without a photo inside and Okular was
deadly slow till I have set "Low" memory...
Once again, my laptop is rather good - 2GiB RAM, 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo.
