Summary: specific: opacity in highlighter tools should be less
than 100%. general: tools should be configurable.
           Product: okular
           Version: 0.8.2
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: okular-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: dontsendleospam at gmail.com

Version: 0.8.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-17-generic

How to reproduce:

When using the Review Tools (Tools, Review), the highlighter tools all have
opacity 100%, which makes them not be highlighters at all. Additionally, they
are too narrow. It is possible to change the opacity and the width after
applying the tool to a document, but Okular does not remember those changes.
When using the tool again, even in the same session, opacity is reverted back
to 100%.

Expected behavior:

Highlighters should have opacity much less than 100% (maybe 50%)?

Suggested fix:

The immediate fix is to replace 100% with 50% in the code. A better fix, to add
a configurable opacity setting at least in a file under .kde/share/config, or
to document that feature if it exists. A true fix is for a right click on the
tool button itself to bring up a dialog where the settings can be changed, then
to make those changes persistent.

By the way, in an unrelated note, I tried browsing the source for Okular online
and couldn't find how, other than downloading the package.
