Yes. They do, but they need someone to do it.

We can, but I don't want to wait for 4.12 to index document files. Waiting
so long is just not an option.

Okular uses the same 3rd party libraries that we will be using. There is no
duplication on the parsing level. We would just have to write our own
indexers to interface with those 3rd party plugins instead of just
interfacing with Okular.

Also, considering that Okular requires more than just the plain text +
metadata, ours would be faster.
