Subject: [ANN] Working on Qt quick components for Android

[This is a repost from the Android-qt google group]

Hi,

For information, I'm working on porting the Qt Quick components to Android, with semperXbmc (http://redmine.semperpax.com/projects/semperxbmc/wiki), an XBMC remote control app designed for symbian, as the test case.

I'm starting to get nice results, as can be seen at https://picasaweb.google.com/christian.browet/SemperXbmcAndroid?authuser=0&feat=directlink.
I'm using the symbian code as a base, so the look and feel will obviously be very "symbianesque" at first, but might be improved at latter stages...

The debug .so for the Qt components is 5Mb. Will be probably far less in release. Add about 500Kb of .qml/.js.
All of the painting is coded in qml, so there are no "hardcoded" images.
QML + JS + SO go to "/data/data/eu.licentia.necessitas.ministro/files/qt/imports/com/nokia/android.1.1", so I don't know if a specific way of delivering it is needed.

Obviously, source code will be available (probably as a clone of the main Qt Quick Components on Gitorious) as soon as something "clean" comes up.

Regards
