Hi,

how big is the file?

Could it be that the file is just too huge for Marble to load?

Marble usually loads OSM files nicely as long as they are not too huge.

I've been issuing a serious memory leak on Kubuntu 20.04, whenever I 
open .osm files, marble suddenly takes all my RAM, I can't even kill the 
process.  I couldn't find any recent relatable cases on the web, so this 
is my last resource.
