Developer update

Hello Google Play Developer,

Please be aware of the following changes which will go into effect on Sept  
1, 2020 due to recent tax legislation in Chile and Colombia.

• If you are located in Chile or Colombia, Google needs to collect your tax  
information to determine your value-added tax (VAT) applicability. If you  
don’t provide your VAT information and are not VAT registered, Google will  
be applying a 19% Value Added Tax (VAT) on the Service fee

• If you are not located in Chile, Google will be responsible for  
determining, charging, and remitting 19% VAT for Google Play Store paid app  
and in-app purchases made by buyers in Chile.

• We’ll also begin using VAT-inclusive pricing in Chile and Colombia, which  
means that prices shown on Google Play will include all taxes, regardless  
of where your business is located. This change will apply to all paid apps  
and in-app purchases made by customers in Chile and Colombia.

Impact on subscription prices

Please note: Beginning on September 1, 2020, VAT may be calculated and  
charged using existing prices for subscription products. Depending on how  
you’ve previously calculated taxes for subscriptions, prices to existing  
subscriptions might be affected. However, you can publish and start selling  
new subscription products with a different price point or change existing
