Apperently both are used as in "elevation profile" or "altitude profile";
Google has 7.8M results for elevation profile, and 22,6M for altitude profile
according to this:

elevation would be more correct.
I'd say a native speaker should decide that. Or just use Altitude as
that's already
used.
