Have you checked http://w-support.com <http://w-support.com/> if you can
send it to them? They have some check tool to see if the device is still
under warranty. I'd still first send it there before spending money
although my experience with them is that their communication with users
needs improvement.*

*: They have a web tool to check the repair status, but it does not
reflect all their communication. For example my spam filter sorted out a
mail from them asking whether to repair without doing a backup and the
web tool I regularly checked always claimed the device was being
repaired (instead of saying they were waiting for my input). When Nokia
decided I wouldn't get a N900 back, but a different device or the not
repaired one, they chose to send me a E7 at some point (I was on
vacation) without checking back with me that this was actually the
decision I wanted. It was, but still they should have asked.
