Apart from my earlier mail today Dennis also just pointed out that the 
mouse selection has changed a bit in the theme listview since Marble 1.1:

It now follows your settings for Double- vs. Single click:
If your (Windows?-) system uses Double Click by default then you need to 
double click map themes to select them. (I'm not sure I like this change in 
behaviour though ... maybe we should change it back )

Is your problem possibly related to this?
