Hi,
We've created a source code release tarball:
http://files.kde.org/marble/downloads/sources/marble-1.1.0-source.tar.gz
It's also available from the bottom of Marble's download page:
http://edu.kde.org/marble/download.php
Of course the Marble 1.1 release is just an additional offering (and a pretty
nice one imho).
We are aware of the problems that might be involved with this
interim release in terms of packaging.
So if you decide to skip this Marble 1.1 release then that's quite reasonable
and it's perfectly fine if you wait for the 1.2 release (as part of KDE 4.7)
instead (which will have all the nice features from Marble 1.1 and more).
I could imagine that Marble 1.1 would usually not be shipped as part of a
distribution release but (possibly by a 3rd party) rather as a standalone
(update) package made for some distribution that got already released.
Best Regards,
Torsten
