Hi,

Yes this was a planned feature. In fact it might even work if done properly. 
I recall that at one point we tested this kind of stuff with Tethys (one of 
the Saturn moons).

Could you create a bug report and attach the dgml file that you've created and 
the backtrace of the crash?
