outch, that's bad news. i know that having custom recorded voices is a cool
feature, but would it be possible to have a user option to fall back on espeak?
as voice turn by turn instructions are more important than cool voices. I have
the mbrola espeak voices installed and they're quite good.

'modrana' on the n900 allows users to edit the espeak command for voice
navigation. my espeak command on modrana is set to

espeak -v mb-en1 -s 120 -m %qmessage% and it works very well.
