Kate syntax highlighting - New fedora install

Been using Kate for many years - my go-to editor. But upon a fresh install of fedora-42, KDE edition yesterday everytime I open a file in Kate it's telling me it can't find the LSP binary for that file type. To it's credit it is giving me the URL to the github in each case for me to go install the needed package for each language. BUT:

- One, I don't recall having to individually install each of those in the past. I do have a note about installing 'kate-plugins' in the past, but I can't find any reference to such a package anywhere, including on the Kate site itself.
- Speaking of the Kate site - it seems to say that it has, built-in, "Highlighting support for over 300 languages." And then the page @ https://kate-editor.org/syntax/ seems to actually show the XML for each such language, but the implication of what the site seems to be telling me is that this is all already built into the base Kate package.

So - a case in point: I open a markdown file just now and it tells me it needs the marksman binary. Ok, I can go get that and put it on my system. But...how do I make sense of what's going on here vs what the Kate website is telling me?

Any insight to this would be appreciated!

(And I think I'm supposed to say to please cc me on any ongoing discussion with this.)
