Problems with KATE

Hi,

My current version of Kate has become unusable. It crashes with I hit a key 
(eg, return) or do a past (ctl-v).

This happens repeatably and does not give a usable stack trace so I cannot log 
a bug report.

Happy to give what info is required.

HELP!
