Would it work, if I would simply not install kv4lsetup, but just change 
kvideoio/v4ldev.ccp to call v4l-conf instead.

I mean v4l-conf from the xawtv package which is available in debian anyway. 
From the comments in kv4lsetup.c it seems that it is only a renamed 
version of v4l-conf. Or are there any other changes?
If yes, then could you please describe exactly what changes are there? So 
that I could write a man page based on the one for v4l-conf.
