[Kwintv] Autoconf error?

What did you guys do to get around autoconf error under Mandrake 9.1. 
It requires autoconf 2.5x or higher, and Mandrake has 2.13.  I 
downloaded the autoconf 2.57 src rpm compiled and tried to upgrade, but 
I get another error.  I suppose I could remove autoconf and install, but 
  other packages have deps on it, and I don't want to mess that up.  Any 
ideas?

rpm -Uvh autoconf*rpm

package autoconf-2.13-16mdk (which is newer than autoconf-2.57-3) is 
already installed
