[Kwintv] No Devices Listed

I've been intermitently trying the new KWinTV the last
few months, but I've never been able to get a device
listed in the startup dialog.  I had compiled before and
tried online RPMS.  This time I'm using Mandrake 9.1
and the RPM that was in their contrib FTP site....same
problem.  I have /dev/video and /dev/video0 and it works
fine with xawtv.

Is this a common problem?  Quick fix?

It looks great though...I've been really sad using xawtv
for the past months when kwintv quit working on KDE3.
