Congratulations with the release! :) Quite a milestone you've passed here.

Suggestions:

Perhaps adding the links you've included in this email, if someone comes directly to this release post from a blog or other.

Grammar:

KTechLab, the IDE for microcontrollers and electronics, has reached a new milestone: its latest release, 0.40.0, does not depend on KDE3 and Qt3, but on KDE4 and Qt4. This meeans that KTechLab can be compiled and ran run on current operating systems.

A bit off topic, but is there a particular reason you still use sourceforge for anything, and not just stick with github?

Anyways, well done :)

Regards,

Claus

Subject: Preparing release announcement for version 0.40.0

Hi,

I've written a blog post for announcing KTechLab 0.40.0. Please review
its draft below:

https://zoltanp.github.io/2017/11/ktechlab-0-40-0.html

The source code of the release is tagged in git and uploaded to KDE
FTP, see here:

http://download.kde.org/unstable/ktechlab/ktechlab-0.40.0.tar.xz.mirrorlist
KDE - Experience Freedom!<http://download.kde.org/unstable/ktechlab/ktechlab-0.40.0.tar.xz.mirrorlist>
download.kde.org
KDE Homepage, KDE.org

Also uploaded the release to sourceforge:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/ktechlab/files/ktechlab/0.40.0/
KTechlab - Browse /ktechlab/0.40.0 at SourceForge.net<https://sourceforge.net/projects/ktechlab/files/ktechlab/0.40.0/>
sourceforge.net
KTechlab is an IDE for microcontrollers and electronics.

If the release announcement blog post is OK, I propose to send
announcement to kde-announce-apps at kde.org , sometimes in the second
half of next week.

Have fun,

 Zoltan
