I've been thinking a lot about the wiki, the website and KTechLab's
publicity in general, and I would like to offer myself to develop the
website. Mot of my thinking came after reading this blog entry from
Aaron Seigo, about project communication and the part it plays in
keeping a project alive. [0]

I have already sent an e-mail to Lawrence about this, because since he
had been put in charge of that, I didn't want to go over him, but that
e-mail was sent on Sept 6th and I never got a reply, so I'm assuming
he must be very busy and not able to work on the website.

I really think all the great work you guys are doing with the code
needs to be showed as the proof that the project is moving on, as it
would also help to get more developers and users. Also, I think the
website shouldn't try to be more than it has to. It should be there to
give a general but as well complete impression/idea of what the
software does and all of it's potential, and also provide a good
environment for the development of a user community, since that is
something I feel is missing. I have actually found in a local
electronics dedicated site a sub-forum dedicated to KTechLab. The
"oficial" forum is there, but the word about it hasn't been spread,
which also happens with the IRC channel, point here exposed by Alan.

So, as the discussion once took place about people in favor and
against forums, I think the forum should be oriented mostly to users,
and the mailing list for developers. If things work out well, we could
think of creating more mailing lists for different needs.

I can't promise a fully redesigned website in two hours, but I will
dedicate all the time I can to have it working. Either this proposal
is accepted or not, I'll start working on some concept and make an
image with it so I have something to show you.
