How to get new LibRaw to work with Kstars?

Dear All!
The issue concerns Kstars 3.7.4 Stable on RPi 5 (Linux version
6.6.31+rpt-rpi-v8).

Due to the fact that LibRaw 20 does not fully support Om-1 Mk I, I decided
to install a newer version of LibRaw (24).

After successful compilation and installation, I wanted to replace the
files in /usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu with the new ones from /usr/local/lib.
Unfortunately, after replacing all the files, Kstars crashes. I described
my affords at
https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/945964-stellarmate-om-1-astroberry/?p=13868033

So the question is: how to properly install the LibRaw library and make
Kstars want to use the newer version?

I would appreciate a hint. I am not a programmer, and I use Linux only
occasionally, so please give me fairly comprehensive instructions if
possible.

Tomasz
