I know very little about i18n/l10n, but how would it be if we could
get a binary / python script that can be run off of Messages.sh, that
essentially does SQLite queries and dumps the results? We might need
to request sysadmin team for special permissions to run things on the
server that runs scripty, though, and make sure that security cannot
be compromised by developer mistakes. Typos can be corrected easily by
using a program like sqlitebrowser.

That would be wonderful! In fact, we have long pondered the idea of
replacing our entire Location Picker with MarbleWidget or some sort of
KPart that includes Marble. The issue has been that Marble does not
have Time Zone data, apparently. Any efforts towards getting a common
library to handle location and timezone data will be very helpful!
