But I noticed that there was actually a star called a Centauri that
matched the star named .a Cen in our catalogs (RA, Dec,
etc). (Wikipedia on 'A Centauri' has a disambiguation link to 'a
Centauri')

Is this purely a coincidence, or are these star names actually
correct?
