Okay, it looks like that when zooming you start from a
CENTER point, THEN expand as much as you can from
there. While this is handy, it might be confusing to
users who are used to how the selection works in most
apps.

At any rate, TOP-LEFT or BOTTOM-RIGHT doesn't matter.
The users decide which coordinate is their starting
point by the direction of their drag.
