This mean that you see the LPI device on the USB bus, 
but your kernel need also to know how to drive the device, so, 
you need to load also v4l (video 4 linux ) and sn9c102 (the module for
the chipset of the meade LPI ) modules.

The sn9c102 module is available in the vanilla kernel, so, you don't
need to download anything to use it, i think that your distro have it in
your default kernel as a module.

After that, your /dev/video0 shuld be ok to use it with kstars and INDI.

Another thing, yuu need also to assure the right permission to access
the video device for your user ( in debian you need to add the user to
the "video" group )
