We should have a policy for image credits, even independently of NOAO's
concerns. We can add a line showing image credit information to the Details
window, just as we have in the image viewer tool. As a bonus, the line can
say "click image area to add an image." Alternatively, we can put this
information in a tooltip. What do you think?
Glenn, how do you envision using the H400 images in KStars? Just in the
Details window, or also as inline images in the sky display itself? For the
latter, I think all we can do is add them to the README.images document,
where credit for all inline messier images is listed.
Maybe the information in README.images should be (a) expanded to include the
Details window images, and (b) accessible from within the program, maybe from
the Help menu.
