Hello Jason,

I though I could not confirm this behaviour but I do not translate city names
unless there is a corresponding name in Spanish and this only happens for big
cities or well known cities. The only city I could thought of was Colonia,
(Cologne or in german Köeln), but unfortunately the original string it is not
written in german with umlaut.

So to check the behaviour I have translated one entry like Düsseldorf by
Duesseldorf in the spanish PO file. Then I have created the binary file:
  msgfmt kstars.po kstars.mo
and I have copied kstars.mo to its target directory:
  cp kstars.mo /usr/share/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES/kstars.mo
and then I started kstars.

If using the CVS version I get Düsseldorf. So the translation has not worked.
If using the distribution version (still KDE 3.3!!) I get Dŋŋ?sseldorf. So the
translation does not work either. The latter behaviour may come from msgfmt.
I think that KDE uses a patched version of gettext.

In any case something is wrong and I can confirm the bug. The problem is I
have no idea where the problem comes from and I did not notice it before.

Pablo.
