Yes, it is. On further investigation, I think I have figured out what is
going on here. In KDE-3.2.x, knewstuff was a library in kdepim/korganizer.
Only in recent CVS was knewstuff moved to kdelibs. So, if you use KDE-3.2.x
and happened to install kdepim, then you will have knewstuff, and will be
able to use our "download new data" feature.
However, I don't want to tell 3.2.x users that they need to install kdepim to
use KStars! So I think the solution is that we need to check for the
existence of KNewStuff, rather than checking the KDE version number. Does
anyone have an idea how to make configure look for KNewStuff?
