Hum. Indeed. I hadn't thought about that.

Yes, that latter proposal sounds very good - if I understand it right!
I don't know how complicated it would be, but I guess not too hard to implement.
If that's the case, I'd say: let's try it and see in practice if it feels right.
I'll let you do it, I don't know exactly how/where to implement that logic.
