it looks like the muParser code is under a BSD-like license, so copyright 
statement should be enough.  If we are going to list the creator of muParser 
in some kind of "acknowledgements" somewhere (in the docs?), then IMHO we 
should also list the creators of GSL, CFITSIO, etc.
