  I guess you already agreed with me, but I figured that the completeness of 
the fieldlist is something that has more to do with the file format itself 
than the contents of it.  Either it has a way to determine what's there, or 
it's (partially) guess-and-check.  Since we have keyed plugins we can change 
it in the future so I think it's best to keep it simple now.
