OK, reading and writing the configuration data is not difficult (using 
something like KConfig), so the question left is: where should the code for 
(optional) datasource configuration dialogs be put (apparently not in 
datasource.cpp) so that they appear in the "Settings..." menu ? 
I hope one of you wizards comes up with a great idea how to do this :-)
