[Kroupware] Trying to build on Debian 3

Hello,

I tried to build Kolab 1.0 rc1 on rh 8 with no result so i tried to be
smart and downloaded the precompiled rpms for Debian 3 and installed
Debian 3 on a spare pc. Yeah right! when i do a /kolab/bin/rpm -ivh
*.rpm it says "Package blah is for a different operating system" And i
thought i installed rpms for Debian 3 on Debian 3 huh..
Ok let's try to compile the src.rpms on Debian 3 (did read that it was
tested on Debian 3). Nope wrong result. All was going well until it was
perl-www his time to compile. It's output was "cannot change owner id to
8857, gid 500". What's wrong?

Please help me out,
