I seem to be running into a brick wall for installing Kolab onto Suse8.1.
Following the instructions at http://kroupware.kde.org/howto-kolab.html,
taking into account the included instructions for Suse8.1. about compress
and uncompress links. I then downloaded everything from
ftp://master.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/server/kolab/kolab-current/bin/SuSE-8.1/
 and ftp://master.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/server/kolab/kolab-current/src/

>From the bin/SuSE-8.1 I ran
openpkg-1.2.0-1.2.0.ix86-linux2.4-kol.sh but nothing happened. I checked
that the /kolab dir was created and the three kolab users were created.
But I'm stuck at this point. I tried rpm -ivh *.rpm but got errors saying
something about openpkg. So I switched to src. I saw an openpkg src rpm.
I've never tried installing a src rpm before but gave it a try anyway. It
seemed to install but wasn't sure where and it said something about not
finding uuencode. I found under /usr/src/packages/SOURCES/ is where the
rpm stuck the files. I ran openpkg.boot but it died because it could not
find openpkg.spec. I found and copied openpkg.spec from ../SPECS. Reran
openpkg.boot and things seemed to run ok. Then ran rpm -ivh on the package
it created in /usr/src/packages it wouldn't run.

Anyone able to educate me?

System:
Suse8.1+ patches
KDE upgraded to 3.1
