[Kroupware] UID: bug or feature?

Hi list!

I'm playing with kolab-server in a test enviroment. When setting up users and 
an admin via the webmail interface it seems not possible to use an admin

First Name: John
Last Name: Smith
UID: admin

and a user

First Name: John
Last Name: Smith
UID: jsmith

Why do I need a different UID _and_ also a different Last Name for users and 
admin? You can not use two (or more) simple users named "John Smith" with 
different UIDs, too. Sounds like a bug?  The term UID implies something 
different(?)
