Very good question!

Currently the OoO replay has to be managed by the user via the web interface 
of the Kolab server.

Basically this was due to a limitation of the Bynari Conncector.

We actually use sieve in order to manage the OoO replies. KDE already has a 
sieve client. It is therefor straight forward to implement a OoO reply dialog 
in KDE.

Fortunately we have access to the Konsec people.

I am right now in the process of talking to them about implementing an OoO 
reply dialog in the Konsec Connector.
