I disagree!
In RFC-2739 are apropriate attributes and objectclasses described and
I have written a Schema which can be used with Evolution, which works
fine for a couple of thousend entries.
Although a Directory Server, based on LDAP, is primarily optimized for
read requests, a write request ist conducted within an acceptable
timeframe, at least an OpenLDAP-2.1.x based Directory Server. But I
must admit, it much depends on the backend, but with BerkeleyDB-4.1.x
there are no problems.
