The important thing with any webmail frontend to kroupware, et al
would NOT be its ability to interface with a particular server.
Unless, of course, kroupware aims to be the actual server. The
important
thing is that the standard they create is able to be interpreted at
within the client. IMAP webmail clients are many, and a few are very
good. Considering that the majority of these would be written in a
scripting
language, will the standard be able to be interpreted by them in
those languages?
