Hi Brad,

how does e-smith help us? they are using text files and generating text
files, but we are using LDAP directories and IMAP folders.

So it seems to me, they are doing entirely different stuff.

I don't intend to write a tool that will touch slapd.conf.
There is webmin and co for that. Anyway once a machine is installed,
there is not much need to change the ldap config files. 

The day to day work is pure ldap directory content and imap folders.
