SO i finally got kpovmodeler installed. If anyone else is having trouble, the GLUT you need for kpov to install is in the Mesa DEMOS packages, NOT in the MesaLib packages.... only now, by installing Mesa and glut, I seem to have clobbered my old settings. 3d hardware acceleration is not working anymore, even though glxinfo says it is... :( sol
