This might be interesting information.  The url contains a "official" xml 
spec for planning applications:

with a focus on the exchange of standard project management data such as

exchange of project status between two software systems."

You need to register at http://www.biztalk.org/ to be able to surf to the 
url.  However the above url can be loaded with an editor for example.
