KPhotoAlbum on Windows?

Hi,

Once upon a time, there was a big promise that Qt/KDE would provide easy 
cross-platform portability...
If I remember correctly, years ago there also was some guidance on how 
to compile/run KPhotoAlbum on Windows, but I have searched those now 
without success.
Any pointers for this - how to compile, or information if there any 
clear showstoppers (libraries used that are not available on Win)?

I have around 60000 images annotated with KPhotoalbum. I'm happy running 
it on Linux, but part of my family would need it to be accessible on 
Windows as well.

An acceptable alternative approach would be to get guidance on how to 
automatically transfer the tagging information from KPA to some similar 
application running on Windows.
