Hello Jan,

I had once again a try with IPTC-export and JAlbum (7.3).
These are my findings:

During export I got at the konsole:
godot:/images/fotos> /opt/kde3/bin/kphotoalbum
kphotoalbum: IPTC field Iptc.Application2.City is not repeatable
kphotoalbum: IPTC field Iptc.Application2.City is not repeatable
kphotoalbum: IPTC field Iptc.Application2.City is not repeatable
kphotoalbum: IPTC field Iptc.Application2.City is not repeatable
kphotoalbum: IPTC field Iptc.Application2.City is not repeatable
godot:/images/fotos>

And on import JAlbum barfed:
------------------------------

------------------------------
Sorry, the error messages are "complete" as far as I could get. I found
no trick to make the cut off part to the right visible.
It made no difference, if I told JAlbum not to use EXIF/IPTC/XP data.

These are 14 photos not liked by JAlbum from a total of 28 in my testcase.
I used the following flow to get to the photos to import in JAlbum:
- Tagging in KPA
- IPTC export in KPA
- Heavily downscaling in KPA using "Plugins/Batch plugins / Resize images"
- Generating Album in JAlbum using the downscaled images

I've attached one of the photos JAlbum didn't like. (IMG_0215.JPG)
exiv2 on this one gave: (note the warning)

Hint:
All photos, which Jalbum doesn't like, give this error message. All
photos which JAlbum likes, don't show this message.
I've also attached a photo (IMG_0217.JPG) which doesn't show this message.

I will also report this problem to the JAlbum developers.
I will keep you informed of the outcome.

Martin
