Yes, all photos in my test. You see the IPTC strings in the exiv2 output.

So far unfortunately no.
This is what I got:

If you just want to get rid of the errors, try going to Settings /
Advanced / Metadata, and unchecking "Include photographic data in
generated images" (the last box).

So it looks like there is a exiv2-lib problem involved.
Still I would consider a better error message by JAlum in cases like
this useful.

P.S.:
Thanks for the hint, I will give it a try. But because I'm trying to use
the IPTC data, this seems like a solution which discards more than I like...
