Thanks for the bug report - as usually, I'm afraid I dont have any KPA time
these days (currently the process of buying a house eats a lot of time :-)
CC'ed the list in case someone there want to give it a try.
Cheers
Jesper.

| Hi Jesper,
|
| I've finally found some time to upgrade from my 2.x installation on
| Ubuntu 6.06 to a self-compiled KPhotoAlbum 3.0. I'm happy with it except
| for one thing. I noticed that when starting it kept telling me my images
| were not sorted, so I checked further and found out that many images had
| the date of January 1st 2006 and 2007. Funnily enough, the photos that
| wrongly had this date were photos I just had tagged.
|
| I'll save you all the tests I did, but now I finally found out how to
| reproduce it.
|
| 1. Open KPA
| 2. Select "Persons" and within this category, the item "None" (basically
| find out which photos don't have a person tagged on it yet)
| 3. Select "Places" and within this category, a specific place.
| 4. Go to the results thumbnails and select some or all photos (ctrl-a)
| will do fine, but also mouse selection is ok.
| 5. Hit Ctrl-1 in order to tag the persons on every photo, one at a time.
| (you don't actually have to tag any photo, just browse through them with
| the blue arrows below the preview area). In your thumbnail results,
| browse the photos this way: Number 1, 2, 3, 4, then go back 3, 2 and
| always watch the date. Notice that when you first pass the photos number
| 3 and 2, they have the correct date. As soon as you pass them the second
| time in reverse order, they receive the 1st of January of the actual year.
| 6. If you hit OK, the changes will obviously be applied, by pressing
| cancel you don't get the date havok but you also lose your labelling work.
|
| If you do, you always can read the EXIF info again and all is back to
| normal.
|
| If you have problems reproducing this bug, I'll be glad to help you.
| Just get in touch by e-mail.
|
| Thanks,
|
| Erich
