Woaw, you modifiy almost your photos :-).
I have a 13000 photos/videos db, and I think modified versions are less than
10 photos.
My cameras stores directly jpg, and I almost always simply extract the
photos and tag them.
So for me, using the parent/child feature would be rare. Understand me : I'm
not saying it's useless, even the contrary, in fact I think I could begin
modify more photos now I know I could link photos between themselves. But
for the moment, linking photos wouldn't be used a lot.
