I don't really know. I just triple checked the cycle detecting code and 
it should be ok. (Expected behaviour with cycles is that they are just 
disregarded, i.e. while adding a member to group, if cycle would be 
created, adding that member to the group would be canceled.)

Could you run KPA with gdb and print the stack in the middle of that 
loop? (I can provide some help using gdb, if you're unfamiliar with it)
