Should we state that explicitely (in the docs somewhere)?  

"If you know set theory you can think of tags as sets and membership
as subset relation.  Just read 'tag X' as 'set X' and 'X is a member
of Y' as 'X is a subset of Y' and you know how member maps (should)
work."
